About The Book
For nearly 30 years, God has inspired Barry to help people discover their God-given Passion, Spiritual Gifts, and Relational Style. He has had the privilege to preach and teach thousands of people about Discovering their Spiritual Gifts.
Have you ever given a gift to someone who refused to open it? Probably not. If it happened, you would remember the disappointment.
.
Jesus’ last words after he died and came back to make appearances for 40 days, is captured in Acts 1: 4-5 and says this: “On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. (NIV)
Barry Carroll shares my passion to see God’s desire for the church to function as He intended. Knowing and using your spiritual gifts are God’s Plan “A” for the church.
And there is no Plan “B.”
This is a book that not just needs to be read but to be implemented in your life, small group, church, and Christian organization.

Chapter 1
What would you do for the people who pass through the doors of your church?
No. 1 — You would introduce them to Christ so they may serve Him as Lord and Savior.
No. 2 — Help each person assimilate into the church and discover who God has made them to be so they can serve in the power of the Holy Spirit, to the Glory of God.
Nothing is better than trusting in Christ and living a Fruitful and Fulfilled life. That is why it is the Golden Goal for every Christian and Church member.
You have no idea what I’m talking about if you have not had this experience of living a Fruitful and Fulfilled life serving the church in the Power of the Holy Spirit. If you have experienced it at least once, you will do everything possible to replicate it wherever you go.
Church leaders sometimes resist change. They miss experiences because they may be too busy doing church work, conducting meetings, coordinating volunteers, and a dozen other things instead of prioritizing helping people live Fruitful and Fulfilled lives.
Jesus said, “Let your light…” your light; YOUR LIGHT, “shine before people, that they see your good deeds…” your good deeds; YOUR good deeds, “AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.”
The repetitious words emphasize that this is YOUR light shining with YOUR good works. However, instead of giving you the praise and Glory, they see God and thank God for what you are doing or saying. I call this MINISTRY TO PERFECTION.
We go out, serving in the name of God — through the Holy Spirit — with a Spiritual Gift that the God of Creation gave us, and God gets the praise. We get fulfillment in life because we know we are making a Kingdom difference, and God uses us for His Glory. (God receives positive attention).

About the author.
Barry Carroll placed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Messiah as a teenager. A youth pastor at the church he was attending had been disciplining him, and at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, the pastor led Barry in the sinner’s prayer.
Years later, Barry made a second commitment, this for the next 12 years, to study and pursue the things of God. During this time, Barry read, studied, and memorized the Bible, prayed, served the church, researched issues related to the church, and observed believers’ behavior.
Upon introduction to Spiritual Gifts, he was changed.
His God-given Passion is to help people find their place in the church and the church to find its place in the community.
